“Shit Happens” & so does human error…

January 31, 2009

Google’s official explanation here:

Unfortunately (and here’s the human error), the URL of ‘/’ was mistakenly checked in as a value to the file and ‘/’ expands to all URLs.”

Most people could only see this message for 40 minutes max apparently!

So, to those out there on their high horses – step off. Sure, this effected millions of people – from retailers to the consumers, but hey, human error DOES HAPPEN. Afterall, we ARE all human, right?

Google Tells Me The Interweb May Harm My Computer :(

January 31, 2009

So there I was, doing my daily search on Google and what do I come across, for all the results?

“This site may harm your computer”

I’m just glad that, as you can see from the below, Google also fears that its own domains may harm your computer. :)))

Quite amusing, I guess we all have our off days. Besides, it appeared to be over a very short time.

Either way, I’d love to know why this came about. Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3 eh? 😉
